Intruder Alarm Systems

G P Electrical and Security is very proud of its reputation in providing high quality protection for homes and businesses alike. Certified by the SSAIB and registered with the Private Security Authority, we install a wide variety of alarm systems, ranging from simple audible systems, to dual signaling devices that are linked to a Central Monitoring Station.

Monitoring Options Available:

  • Digital Communicator Monitoring - On activation of alarm, a coded signal is sent to the Central Monitoring Station via your telephone line

  • BT Redcare Monitoring - On activation of alarm, a coded signal is sent to the Central Monitoring Station via your telephone line. It will also inform the Central Monitoring Station if it detects that the phone line has been tampered with or cut.

  • GPRS Dual Com Monitoring - Comprises of two signaling paths (the GPRS and the telephone line). The GPRS uses the Vodaphone network as the primary communication path, and the landline as the secondary communication path. In the event of the telephone line being cut, the GPRS will continue to signal to the Central Monitoring Station.

  • BT Redcare GSM Monitoring - Comprises of two signaling paths (the GSM and the telephone line). The telephone line is the primary communication path, and the GSM runs as the secondary path on the O2 network, which is continually monitored. In the event of your telephone line being cut, the GSM will continue to signal to the Central Monitoring Station.

In accordance with regulations, all alarm systems that are linked to a Central Monitoring Station are regularly maintained. Maintenance includes:

  1. Visual inspection of premises for changes in structure or occupancy

  2. Check mains and stand-by power supplies including charging rates

  3. Ensure correct operation of all control equipment

  4. Check the satisfactory operation of all detection devices including deliberately operated devices

  5. Check the satisfactory operation of all audible warning and alarm devices

  6. Make any necessary minor adjustments

  7. Log test results

  8. Clean equipment as necessary

  9. Check all signals to the Central Monitoring Station (if applicable)
